Cucumber and loofah cross-pollination help
To avoid cross-pollination some scientist put little bags on the flowers
(made out of filters). http://www.fao.org/docrep/x5392e/x5392e04.htm

totally buy a cucaloofa.
If there are bags on the flowers, how would
they be pollinated in the first place? Yeah, I'm really liking the
cucaloofa thing. Or at least saying the word over and over. Betcha it
would be nasty in the tub though. Squishy!
Then they collect the pollen and add it to
the flower of choice. You just get the cucaloofas and let the marketing
people worry about the rest.
LOL! You crack me up!
Pollination is part of the production of the "Next Generation" (Star trek
reference noted) it should not affect the fruits (or produce) made by the
initial plants. The cross pollinated plants would produce the hybrid
offspring you are concerned about, but from your standard seeds would be
find.
